Western Australian homes are ranked the most secure, with an average Secure Score of 58/100*. Although Western Australian homes have a higher Secure Score than Australia’s average of 55/100*, there are many ways for people to boost their score and protect their home against unwanted intruders. Practical actions all add points to your Secure Score, including securing bins away from easy access (+5), leaving shoes by the front door (+3) and joining your local Neighbourhood Watch group (+6). Following closely behind WA is the ACT, with an average Secure Score of 57/100*, Queensland (55/100*) and South Australia (55/100*).
