Instructions for Care
Because of its woven mesh design, Crimsafe can trap airborne dirt and impurities, just like flyscreen, and over time these can give it a stained appearance. It might turn a blotchy red, which is the result of airborne salt, impurities, and moisture or a fluffy white which is indicative of a salt build-up. Either way, a quick clean will remove these marks and leave it looking like new.

Rest assured, Crimsafe mesh does not rust. It is made from 304 Grade Stainless Steel which has a lifespan of approximately 65 years. And then it's coated in a secret formula with special additives, so there's no metal in the paint that could rust. It's only whatever is allowed to build up on the mesh and the frame that may change colour.

Regular maintenance involves a wash down of frames and mesh with Crimsafe Wash and Wax in warm water using a soft bristle brush, followed by a clean water rinse.

Use this table as a guide to how frequently you should clean your Crimsafe product.
