The Real Crimsafe – Don’t Be Conned

Don’t Be Conned By Dishonest Retailers

CRIMSAFE is the REGISTERED BRAND NAME of the leading security screen system for windows and doors that uses a unique hi-tensile 0.9mm 304 grade stainless steel wire mesh that is locked into the screen frame using an internationally patented screw-clamp system.

CRIMSAFE IS NOT A GENERIC TERM FOR SECURITY SCREEN AND DOOR PRODUCTS.

Crimsafe is a unique product that has no equivalent in its product category. The source, grade and weave of the 0.9mm 304 stainless steel wire mesh is also EXCLUSIVE TO CRIMSAFE.

The Danger of PVC and Wedged Alternatives

Wedge and adhesive based systems used by other brands of security screens cannot match the strength of the Crimsafe screw-clamp patented system.
The wedging systems used in these screens are often made of PVC – Poly Vinyl Chloride.

Not only do PVC’s begin to break down and degrade when exposed to Ultra Violet light, they are also very dangerous to the environment according to the Healthy Building Network.

NOTE: PVC is the worst plastic from an environmental health perspective, posing major hazards in its manufacture, product life and disposal. Check out www.healthybuilding.net

Home Owners Caught Unawares

Recently, Crimsafe was contacted by a young family in Brisbane who had bought a house that was advertised as having “Crimsafe” screens. The previous owner of the home genuinely believed that they had paid for “Crimsafe”. When obtaining a quote for more Crimsafe on their home, the new owners were told by a registered Crimsafe Licensee that the existing screens were a cheap imitation of Crimsafe. Crimsafe’s Technical Manager visited the home and confirmed that the security screens and doors installed were not Crimsafe.
Since then Crimsafe has arranged, on this occasion, to replace various screens with genuine Crimsafe at its cost . However, the family have been horrified to discover that what has actually been on their home posing as a “security screen” for the last 2 and a half years – is no more than over-priced fly screens falsely advertised as Crimsafe, providing zero protection.

Entry Gained  in Under 6 Seconds.

In a new Crimsafe TVC, the door being kicked in by our “burglar” is the actual front door of the house mentioned above. It took only one kick by our “burglar” to destroy this inferior imitation supplied as a security door; our “burglar” gained access into the home in under 6 seconds. The screens on the windows suffered the same fate – destroyed with one blow. The family was regularly in the habit of leaving the front door open during summer with their security door locked, while they spent time in the pool area at the back of the house. An intruder would have been through that door and in the house within seconds – probably without anyone in the pool area being aware that an intruder was in their home.

The brand of product actually installed has been reported to the Product Compliance Section of the Office of Fair Trading. WATCH THE FULL DISTURBING FOOTAGE here!
